What is your previous experience with being a staff member in an online community?
I have been a moderator/admin on a fair number of gaming servers when I was a teen, was recently support for a osrs private bot scripter. I was a Gmod TTT server mod, multiple minecraft servers I have been Admin/Builder/Support.
Why do you want to be a Bethlehem staff member, and why do you feel you deserve this rank? (200 words minimum)
I want to be staff because I really enjoy this server and enjoy helping new players. I have posted a few suggestions in discord which appear to have been received well, I specifically suggested things which would help new players enjoy the early/mid game. Ensuring the community have reasons to stay active through goodiebags/community events is another reason why I would like to be staff. I feel as though I deserve this as I am currently active in assisting players when they have questions about the server, and helping out new players by telling them useful tips I used when I first started.

I'm currently enrolled in professional studies to become a teacher in Canada. I recently completed my thesis in psychology researching the possibility of virtual environments creating state-dependent anti-personality disorder traits. Outside of the server during my free time I go on long-distance bike rides, camping, and kayaking.

I'd help like no helper has helped before - and if I didn't know the answer to a question I would own up to my lack of understanding, work to find the correct answer, and remember it for the future.
What would you do if you saw someone spamming?
It depends on the severity of spam. If someone is "spamming" that they are selling something it would likely require less severe punishment.
Give them a warning in the form of asking them to stop.
If they continue I'd give them a final warning.
If they continue after the final warning it would be a mute.
If they evade through a new account they would be given 1 warning, then banned.

What would you do if someone was using offensive language?
Severity/context are important for this as well. If someone is getting mad they aren't getting drops and using swear words, to me, that is not worth punishing. If a player is targeting another player with insults, and the other player has asked it to stop or asked staff to intervene I would follow the same procedure as previously mentioned in spamming.
What would you do if someone was flaming a player?
Same answer as above
What would you do if someone was flaming a staff member?
People generally don't flame for no reason, I'd ask them to stop, and attempt to figure out their grievances. If they didn't stop I would temporarily mute them (if that's possible) Happy players = happy server.
What would you do if someone was posting rude comments on the forums?
If the comment was intentionally rude I would edit the comment to say something different and put the reason for the comment being edited.
What would you do if you found or were informed about duped items?
Immediately inform an admin+ of the situation at hand as they can properly deal with the situation through viewing logs.
Aside from that I would gather as much information as possible, was the dupe able to be repeated or a one-off? What was happening at the time of the dupe? etc..
I would remove the duped items from the player (if possible) and inform them that an admin+ will be in contact to discuss the bug.
If intentional actions were taken to duplicate items in an attempt for personal gain I would likely tell the player to contact and admin on discord, then ban them.

Politely tell them that no trading/buying/selling is allowed in help chat and that all players donor+ have access to ::yell. If they are not donor I would explain how to use ::email
