I stepped away in December of 2019 due to IRL issues, and rejoined Bethlehem about 3 weeks ago!
What is your previous experience with being a staff member in an online community?
I was a former helper on Bethlehem from October of 2019 to December of 2019 before I stepped away.
Why do you want to be a Bethlehem staff member, and why do you feel you deserve this rank? (200 words minimum)
I feel that being a staff member is high honor, regardless of rank. I believe that a staff member has a huge responsibility, especially within an active server of 100+ members. Throughout my life between school and work, I have always enjoyed and thrived when taking on new responsibility, especially when it involves a field or area I am passionate about. Customs servers have always hit home to me. I play RSPS BECAUSE it differs so greatly from regular Runescape and OSRS. This server in particular really spoke to me, and I have enjoyed it so much that I have donated my own hard earned money, and I will continue to donate regularly because I love this server so much. I will admit, there is a lot I do need to learn about this server. I always do my best with providing help and answers to whoever asks, and would never put down another player for their question or concern. I feel like I have a lot to offer to Bethlehem, based off of my 10+ years of RSPS experience. I understand there are a lot of helpers right now and that this request may be declined, but in the mean time I will continue to grind and develop my own account, along with assisting others in their advancement.

Of course. I will continue to play as much as I can, whenever I can. I want to be able to help anyone I can when I am on.

-I am a quality assurance manager at an aerospace paint shop in western Washington (Seattle area)

If you were a helper.....
What would you do if you saw someone spamming?
I would issue one warning before muting the player. It also depends on if this person is using an auto typer just to purposely troll the server, or if it is a player that legitimately doesn't realize they are spamming by trying to buy/sell. Advertising another server or trying to sell real world products would be an instant mute in my opinion.
What would you do if someone was using offensive language?
Depending on the context, I would take a 3 strike approach before muting. It depends on how harsh the language is, and if it was directed towards a particular player. Some players have proven that they do not need to be warned more than once, and others have proven that no amount of warnings matters to them.
What would you do if someone was flaming a player?
If flaming is the equivalent of bullying, I would have a low to zero tolerance for it and would only give one warning before pursuing further action. People play on these servers to escape and wind down from their daily lives, and no one should have to stress or fear another player flaming them.
What would you do if someone was flaming a staff member?
If the staff member was offline, I would warn this player that flaming another player is a serious offense, let alone another staff member. I would screen shot the exchange, and advance it upper management.
What would you do if someone was posting rude comments on the forums?
I would tell them to review the server rules, as the rules within the server shall apply to the forums in many regards. Rude comments are not allowed under any circumstance or context.
What would you do if you found or were informed about duped items?
I would inform upper management immediately so further action could take place. I would thank the player for informing me, and would issue a warning to not discuss it with any other player in the game.
What would you do if someone was selling items in the help cc?
I would politely tell them to use yell to sell/buy items, or use the discord channel for it. All players have donator +, so we can all yell.
